Did you know that crop tops originated as a men’s wear trend? It’s hard to believe given the prevalence of crop tops in women’s fashions during the 1990s. Though the popularity of the crop top has declined a bit from the Britney Spears “Hit Me Baby One More Time” era, it still is a persistent fashion trend.
When selecting a crop top the quality of the fabric is important. Tighter fitting crop tops look best in thick opaque fabrics. Loose fitting crop tops are best when made from lighter material, like lace, because it drapes more elegantly over the body.

No Dress Code For Us
In California we would get horrific Indian summers. It would be the worst right before school started is when it would hit hard. The worst part is that at our school there was a dress code. We weren’t allowed to wear certain things to school no matter the weather was like.
One year when it was a record breaking heat wave all the students decided to boycott the dress code. The girls especially were the ring leaders. There was no way we where not going to wear halter tops and shorts to school. Since it was all over the news the record breaking heat wave was not going to end the school board amended the dress code.

Just because you aren’t a free spirit doesn’t mean you don’t have the right to go braless. My girlfriend’s bachelorette party was coming up and I didn’t know what to get her. I knew all of our other friends would be getting her cheesy lingerie and I didn’t want to follow suit. After looking online at some specialty intimate wear websites, I found the perfect gift.

To Lace Or Not To Lace – Corsets vs. Bustiers
Do you know the difference between a corset and a bustier? Many women find these sexy tops confusingly difficult to define. The difficulty mainly seems to occur because these tops are actually very similar and most people use the terms interchangeably.
Technically, a bustier is a bra style top that usually goes all the way to the waist but may also be cropped or go all the way to the hips. A bustier may have shoulder straps or it way be strapless. A corset was originally a type of tight fitting, body enhancing undergarment used to create an hourglass shaped figure. Modern corsets are considerably more comfortable but still usually have supportive boning and a laced back. It is designed to make a body look slimmer by pulling in the waist and lifting the breasts. Most corsets have lacing at the back which makes a corset almost infinitely adjustable. Most corsets will also have garters for stockings and many corsets now have detachable garters.
