While some consider Naughty Lingerie and Sexy Lingerie to be one and the same, we think these two lingerie categories are actually very, very different. Naughty Lingerie is lingerie that is specifically designed to seduce and entrance.
While usually worn for special occasions it can be exciting to wear nightly if you have several different items to make it stay interesting and fun. This the type of lingerie most purchased by men. This group of lingerie includes lingerie costumes, cupless lingerie, open crotch lingerie, bras with peek-a-boo cups, garter belts, pasties and anything else that can be imagined.

Finally we come to Clubwear Lingerie. This is lingerie that can do double duty as both sexy lingerie and street wear or club wear. Current fashion trends show many styles that have always traditionally been thought of as lingerie.
Now it’s common to see babydoll lingerie and camisoles worn as a sexy top. Corsets and waist cinchers, once just foundation lingerie are now either worn as a top or paired with another top. We’ve seen chemises worn both as a sexy top paired with jeans or leggings and as a dress. PVC bras, leather bras and bustiers are also styles of sexy lingerie worn as sexy clubwear and street wear, both alone or in combination with more conservative clothing.

Sexy lingerie is an easier concept. This is lingerie, foundation garments, sleep wear and lounge wear which are purchased because they make the person wearing them feel sexy. Sexy exotic lingerie combines both form and function.
Some women who buy this type of lingerie do so to feel sexy throughout the day having the knowledge that they are hiding something provocative under their everyday clothing. This also can give a woman a sense of power and confidence knowing that if her male co-worker had any idea what she had on underneath it would drive him insane. Sexy lingerie includes cute, sexy bra and panty sets, camisole and panty sets, a sexy thong or a G String panty.

Just what is considered Practical Lingerie? This is lingerie, foundation garments, sleep wear and lounge wear which are purchased for daily wear. Think functional use rather than style and sex appeal. This includes everything from everyday garments for work to just plain standard nighttime sleepwear.
Sometimes you just want something plain for lounging around in and lingerie doesn’t always have to be a babydoll or teddy. Practical lingerie includes basic bras, panties, sport bras, your favorite old over sized T shirt that you like to sleep in, casual loungewear and sleep wear. Practical lingerie is “comfort clothes”… soft, warm, and comfy but not necessarily sexy or even pretty. While practical lingerie has it’s place, you wouldn’t necessarily want to wear your super hero bra and panty set as sexy clubwear.

Lingerie has come a long way from bulky boned corsets, girdles and other restrictive foundation garments worn in by women in the past. Today, lingerie is designed for the woman as a person rather than the woman as an object. Lingerie is now made to be comfortable in addition to being sexy.
Sexy lingerie and lingerie inspired street wear and clubwear is showing up everywhere from lingerie stores to conservative department stores. There are basically four main categories of lingerie: Practical Lingerie, Sexy Lingerie, Naughty Lingerie and Clubwear Lingerie.
Beyond The Basics – Specialty G Strings
We previously told you about several basic styles of g strings. Keep in mind that a g string is technically a thong. However, where as a thong actually has a fabric back panel, a g string only has a tiny string up the back.
Basic G strings have a front panel of variable size with string sides and back. However, these next G strings are what we call “specialty G Strings”. The Suspender G String is a G string with extra long side strings which are worn over the shoulders – much like a pair of suspenders. This particular specialty g string is a favorite of exotic dancers.
While all g strings are quite small, the Mini Micro or “Teardrop” G String has little more than an approximately 1/2″ wide strip of fabric for a front panel. Just when we thought we couldn’t find anything any smaller, we came across the Crotchless G String and the Harness G String. Both of these specialty G Strings are little more than connected strips of fabric that leave nothing to the imagination.

We spent some time researching the various different types of sexy g strings available. While we are sure that this list of G String styles is not exhaustive, it will give you a good idea as to what is out there. We found these main styles of g strings.
A Side Tie G String is just a basic G String with sides that tie. Any of the following styles of G Strings can also be found with side ties. The Chip G String is a very small G String with a small, low cut front panel. The Micro G String is probably one of the smallest G Strings. It is quite similar to the Chip G String but the front panel is even smaller. The Mini G String is a barely there G String with an even smaller front panel.
Types And Styles Of Thongs
Although the issue of what a thong actually is seems pretty straight-forward at first glance, there are actually several varieties of bottom baring lingerie and sexy swimwear with more and more different styles being added every year. However, all are technically considered under the broad category of thongs.
One of the most common sub-categories of thongs is the G-String. When people refer to “butt floss” or any other such lovely term, they are picturing a g-string. A G String has little more than a triangle of fabric in the front and a thin string around the hips and between the cheeks. This is truly minimalist sexy underwear.
Why Wear A Sexy Thong?
Some people ask “Why wear a thong?” For people who have never worn thongs, they seem a silly choice of undergarment. After all, they offer little in the way of support or coverage. Still, there are some perfectly logical reasons to wear the itty-bitty panties. Many people wear sexy thongs because thongs eliminate panty lines.
Thongs can be a sexy alternative to teddies and can be an attractive addition to sheer nighties. When paired with decorative bras, thongs make a pretty lingerie set. Many men fantasize about seeing “their women” in revealing panties and thongs can inject a bit of spice into the love life.
